And for good reason – the National Geographic Society’s mission — using the power of science, exploration, education and storytelling to illuminate and protect the wonder of our world — and sustainability go hand-in-hand. In 2003, the Society’s headquarters made history as the world’s first existing building to achieve LEED certification.
