Museum Staff

Our museum staff stationed throughout the museum are eager to help assist you with any questions you may have.

Service Animals

Trained service animals are welcome at the Museum of Exploration. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.

Wellness Spaces

The Museum of Exploration offers dedicated wellness spaces designed for nursing, rest, reflection and recharging — providing a calming break during your visit. These quiet areas support mindfulness and comfort for all guests.

Accessibility & Support Services

An inclusive approach to accessibility

For Visitors with Mobility Disabilities

  • All entrances, exhibits and facilities are wheelchair accessible.
  • Wheelchairs and cane stools are available to borrow at the front desk or coat check.
  • Elevators or wheelchair lifts provide access to each level.

For Visitors Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

  • Induction hearing loop and assistive listening devices are available in the Grosvenor Auditorium.
  • Captioning in English and Spanish is included in media content.
  • American Sign Language is included in most media content.

For Visitors Who are Blind or Have Low Vision

  • Braille in English and Spanish for all instructional text and wayfinding information
  • Audio Description in English and Spanish is included in most media content. Large presentations feature synchronized description, while touchscreens offer access via keypads and headphone jacks.
  • Screen-reader-compatible text and visual descriptions for exhibits, objects and images are available via QR code.

For Visitors who are Neurodivergent or Have Sensory Sensitivities

  • Sensory bags are available to borrow at the main lobby info desk to use during your visit and include a variety of items to assist with sensory stimulation or dampening.
  • Two quiet rooms offer a private space to take a break.
