Booking

A minimum of 20 guests is required to make a group reservation. 1 adult chaperone per 10 youth is required for all youth group visits. Chaperones must remain with their group at all times.

Groups should allow a minimum of 2 hours for their visit. The group sales staff can provide suggested itineraries for visits ranging from 2–4 hours.

Payment

No deposit is required. Payment is due in full no later than 30 days prior to date of arrival, failing which the reservation will be cancelled without notice. Groups wishing to rebook will be subject to current availability.

Groups booking within 30 days of arrival are required to pay for their group visit at the time of booking.

Payment options include credit card (with information to be provided by phone), domestic US ACH or international wire transfer, and check. No cash will be accepted. No purchase orders will be accepted.

Payment must be received in one transaction. Payments cannot be split across multiple forms of payment regardless of the payment type.

No day-of changes will be permitted. Changes made within 30 days of arrival must be approved and confirmed with payment.

Cancellations

Cancellations made outside of the 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded in full. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will result in the forfeiture of funds.

Arrival

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation time to be greeted. Groups arriving on motorcoach or on foot should arrive at the 16th Street entrance to be greeted by our group experience staff. There is dedicated space for 2 motorcoaches to unload and load groups on 16th street. There is no motorcoach or visitor parking available. Groups may access www.godcgo.com for the District of Columbia government’s latest information on motorcoach parking around the city.

Groups must arrive at their scheduled ticket time. Early entry will not be permitted. Every effort will be made to accommodate groups who arrive late, but entry cannot be guaranteed. Please call +1 (202) 807-3132 and leave a message to inform the MOE staff of an expected late arrival.

During Your Visit

At the Museum of Exploration we value and respect our visitors and staff and expect the same from our visitors. Any use of inappropriate language and/or behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the Museum without refund.
