The Pavilion serves as the gateway to the Museum of Exploration. Celebrate the wonder of our world through immersive storytelling, objects and history, amplified by our large-scale media wall. Visitors can learn about Explorers, National Geographic Society’s mission and the bold work being supported around the world — all designed to inspire curiosity and wonder.
Did you Know? The Pavilion’s millwork features ash wood sourced from a family farm in New England. To combat the spread of the invasive emerald ash borer, the farm had to proactively fell affected trees. Rather than using other species, this ash wood was selected — giving new purpose to trees already being removed for environmental reasons.
