This week, meet National Geographic Explorer, biologist, educator and conservationist Carmen Chávez to explore how she is empowering vulnerable Andean and Amazon communities impacted by climate change through conservation programs and amplifying the voices of young leaders across Peru.

She worked at Harvard University's Museum of Comparative Zoology, where she contributed to the installation of permanent exhibitions and to a comprehensive inventory of the insect fauna of the Boston Harbor Islands.

Pop-Up Talks will meet “Under the Stars” in the Pavilion. Please arrive 5 minutes before the program begins.
